Rundown
Pros
Remarkable picture quality and incredibly fine detail really maximize the benefits of HD programming. Scene reproduction is excellent with help from the subtle light-to-dark shaded gradients. Color accuracy is great and black levels are above average. Superb contrast adds crucial elements of depth and dimension to displayed images. Jagged edges in films, also known as “jaggies”, are effectively removed with the advanced film-mode operation. Frame rates are doubled by the 120Hz technology in order to minimize motion blur. Sound output is clear and bright. User-friendly remote with backlit buttons makes remote navigation a breeze, even in the dark. The comprehensive on-screen menu provides excellent ease-of-use.
Cons
Display is somewhat difficult to view from certain angles, resulting in the loss of color, brightness, or contrast when viewing the screen from away from the center. The touch-activated controls on the console are somewhat difficult to read and confusingly labeled.
Summary
The 52” 1080p from Samsung offers superb picture quality as well as exceptional sound. Despite some minor navigational issues with the console buttons and a loss of picture quality from certain angles, it is an exceptional TV.

Rundown
Pros
Incredible picture quality, excellent color and contrast. Image detail rivals that of the highest end displays. Some of the best black levels you can find in an LCD, also competing with the top of the line TV sets. 120Hz technology effectively doubles frame rate which helps to reduce motion blur. Easily smoothes out jagged content often found in films. On-screen display is very detailed and gives you several options to customize settings.
Cons
When viewing the screen at an angle, picture tends to lose some degree of color, brightness or contrast. Direct viewing is necessary to get the full benefits of this set.
Summary
Although this 52” 1080p Samsung TV is a bit pricier than others in its class, it boasts excellent picture quality and intuitive navigation. Ideal for viewing HD content, and one of the few models that use a LED backlight as opposed to a CCFL lamp, which usually increases the lifespan of the TV.
